Have you looked at a Northstar TC 850 popup? They are self contained and have very loyal customer base.

We put a TC 650 on our 2003 Dodge 3500 4x4 quad cab. While I never weighed the camper I did need to install airbags to level the truck. My guess is that when the camper was loaded to travel it weighed between 2000 - 2500 lbs.

Breeves, We owned a Northstar 650 pop-up. With the top down it had 5 ft. of clearance. I'm 6-3 and had no problem sleeping in the lower bed with the top down. Additionally I could sit on the bed, use the stove and open the frig without my head hitting the roof.

Did you get it with a 5 or 6 ft. roof?

Capri used to offer a 6 foot roof option for their Cowboy camper. Perhaps they would be willing to build one for you.
