    Interesting. have been on several roads in parks that are called 4WD but really never needed. Will be interesting to see how many new signs will go up in the parks to try and explain this one.

    Ah do-overs. The life of a DIYer and everyone who builds things. I met a woodworker who became a fine furniture maker years ago and when I saw how many prototypes he went through to get to a finished product - that was a light bulb moment for me!

    yep. we usually had one or two semi- truck wrecks and a few vehicle fires along the Pass road when I was there. And I used to call the smell of burning brakes the smell of summer in the Tetons.

    here is another site: ALERT Wildfire I use these cameras often when on a fire. They help a lot, but certainly do not replace staffed lookouts.

    we had a Goal Zero before we had camper with solar. It worked well but the batteries lasted two years and the solar panel about the same. Goal Zero did replace the battery but not sure I would trust it long term
