New information has been confirmed that there was a A.C.C.I. chapter called the ROADRUNNERS. They were in Texas, Oklahoma, Mississippi and Louisiana. Also that there was at one time a Alaskan camper manufacturer in Houston TX. Chasing history is fun and exhausting but bringing new information...

Also the clearance lights have a ground wire that contacts the camper skin. If you have a loose screw it can break contact and the whole system could fail.

My old folding five steps were made of steel and quite heavy. They worked great with my Alaskan on my 02 Cummins but were to long for the military Alaskan trailer. Picked up a set of aluminum four steps and the length is perfect for my needs.

I had a great trip out to Bridgeport, CA. and back only have a couple problems. One the heater core in my RC started leaking and I had to bypass it under the hood. Second was the surge brakes on the trailer failed. Under extreme braking the wheel cylinders blew from me trying to not take out...

Last night I had the telescoping landing legs welded to the back of the trailer. Front to back leveling will be done by the tongue jack and side to side leveling by the two rear stabilizers. Needs to be level for the propane refrigerator to work correctly.

I will tell you I sure miss my drill press. Drilling all these holes with a 3/8 corded hand drill is son of a gun. Had to step away for a few and let the drill cool down. Got one of four angles done this morning and hope to get one more done before it gets to hot out. Finished two of the four...

I was an Alaskan camper hoarder for a while. At one time I had four Alaskans. First was a 59' nco, Second a 84' eight foot cab over, Third a 74' 10 foot nco not pictured and last was a 81' cab over that I kept and used for eight years. The 59' is pictured on a 06' Tundra that was my first truck...

Yesterday morning myself and a couple other guys loaded the Alaskan on the trailer. In one of the pictures you can see it was a tight fit. I have owned six Alaskan's since 2008 and each one needed repair of some sort or another. My first was a 59' NCO and I refinished the cabinets and reupholstered the cushions only. Latest is a 1968 NCO and needs extensive dry rot repair in the top section. You can find a good later model year in...

1968 Alaskan nco I acquired a couple years ago. Out of all my Alaskan's I have had this by far is the nicest original interior one I have ever got. All the appliances work on propane and I was surprised when the fridge got cold and the freezer made ice.

Ran into a little snag. Space between the fenders on the trailer is 45 inches. The width of my camper is 48 inches, fudge. No worries though going to take 2 inches total out of both inboard trailer fenders so that will give an inch to spare on clearance. If it was easy everybody would do it...
