RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West State of Charge Monitor (Blue Sea?)

I opted to do my own solar instead of having it installed from the factory. Things are changing so fast, I can do it more efficient and cheaper myself.

After further research, YES, that is a great idea, i like the idea of having both gauges right there and easily readable! Thanks!!

Thanks Rando! Dang, that unit looks slick also! Yes, i am THAT lazy i dont want to have to press a button to see the various functions of whats going on, hence why i am looking at the Blue Sea option. But that bluetooth and app looks SAWEET

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West State of Charge Monitor (Blue Sea?)

Hey All I know a lot of your love the Trimetric, but has anyone used this? I prefer the smaller, more discreet easy to read display. All of my builds prior have used all and only Blue Sea items, so i am kind of partial. Anyone? Thoughts? Thanks...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New Swift Camper, Mods, Upgrades Etc......Pic Heavy.

Excellent! Congrats! I argued with myself and changed my mind about 7,312 times over building out a shell or a full loaded option. I can tell ya from experience, that ARB is insanely efficient and can be run solely off a 100 watt panel and a decent battery. I haven't shut my fridge off in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Suspension for 2017 Tacoma and FWC Fleet Shell

I've ran Old Man Emu on 5 different Toyota's with probably close to 100k of OFF road miles, with not a single failure. I STRONGLY recommend them for the type of stuff we do. Each truck is different, so i wont give specific suggestions, except.... Whatever you do, if you really are set on...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Who's Installed an inverter?

I've run a ProWatt 2000 Xantrex inverter hard wired to an Odyssey PC2150 in my truck for 2 years now with zero issues. When my Hawk arrives, I will be moving it into my Hawk and running 110 outlets for photo charging gear.

Agree with every word of this 100%!! YES on the longer spring bolt. I learned that the hard way when I had my truck all apart! Luckily local shop had some. My ubolts were barely long enough so I replaced them with longer just for piece of mind. If you’re near San Diego I can help.

Yeah, my friend turned mine on the truck too and I had never seen it. Super cool. Also, wasn’t there a huge massive recall for either the first or Second gen Tundra due to rotor issues? Im almost positive there was

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What Brand is the 160 watt Solar Panel FWC Provides?

I have no experience at all with a Furnace and how much it consumes but I guess I’m about to learn! Hahaha! I am currently planning my solar setup and due to (2) panels not fitting easily with dual fans, I am going to start with the 175w NewPowa panel as it seems to get amazing reviews. I...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tundra Brakes

Having raced motorcycles most of my entire life, and occasionally cars, I’ll whole heartedly disagree with that article. I have several rotors in my garage (I think they’re still there) that are warped to the point you can rock them like a round bowl and see the obvious bowing of them with the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

I run Poly in all my rigs. They have pros and cons. They do improve on road manners and the ride. They do limit Offroad articulation, which only matters if you’re doing harder trails. The key is the greasable bushing and the pins with the zerks. If they get dry, the squeaking will drive you...

Just thought of something else... what bushings are you running in the leaf springs? Rubber or Poly? That would help with stability too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

Ok, now this makes a bit more sense actually. Full size trucks, even bone stock are going to have a lot more sway than what you’re probably used to. It’s the nature of their design. It’s just how they are. It can be helped some of course, but it can’t be eliminated, it will never handle like...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

Don’t take this the wrong way, but have you had many full size trucks before? I have the bags, E tires, and just one add a leaf for now. Handling amazing with my last setup I just removed that was 1100lbs. Also, I’m Offroad way too much to add a rear sway bar.
