RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

Out of curiosity... Are you guys airing down offroad?? I have a Tundra DC 4x4 with E rated tires and just a leer shell (FWC on the way) and run at 40psi front and 45psi rear. Which by reading the info here I should raise that to 55/50. When offroad I air down to 25psi all around. I run 35"...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air bag and tire pressure

Definitely wouldn't keep increasing tire pressure. Other than the bags, what are you running for rear springs? I run the OME 2.5" springs with an extra add a leaf and bags. I rarely need to inflate the bags more than 25lbs. You want to have it setup so you have a backup. If you can only...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift Ordered - Now to prep the truck :-)

Thanks Hodakaguy, I will look into these for sure! I just installed the 2" firestone spacers to compensate for my OME lift and I am not too stoked on how it all fits. These cradles look like a much better solution! Thanks Kevin

I’ve tried about half dozen pads and I’ve been most happy with Hawk LTS pads.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Swift Ordered - Now to prep the truck :-)

I have a Tundra with the OME and add a leaf and the Firestone airbags with the 2" spacer to compensate for the lift. What are these Daystar cradles yall speaking of? Better than spacers I assume? Thanks Kevin

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Just Placed My Order! WooHoo!

Finally pulled the trigger and ordered my FWC! I must first say, in todays age, i am very often disappointed with the lost art of customer service, not the case here. Chris from Rocky Mountain Four Wheel Campers has been absolutely amazing on the phone and emailing back and forth to tweak it...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wiring Diagram for Newer Hawk?

Thanks Rando.. Yeah, the solar panels are currently mounted on my Leer Fiberglass shell. They will be moved to the roof of the camper when I get it. I’m agreeing 3 separate battery banks is overkill and silly. That’s what I’m trying to iron out and plan now. The truck currently has an ARB...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wiring Diagram for Newer Hawk?

Thanks... Yeah, I currently use the Perfect Switch isolator and have been using them in various builds for over 10 years, love them. They keep both truck batteries tip top. Just trying to see if I can add a 3rd (camper). I have gauges for both batteries in my truck also. The plus side is...

Ordering a Hawk soon. My truck already has dual batteries, an isolator, fuse block, etc.. Want to see how the hawk battery is wired up and how to tie it into my existing setup. I have (2) 100 watt solar panels on the truck now and trying to decide if I want the camper on stand alone solar or...
