RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 06 Tundra AC as a base for a flatbed camper?

Domestic full size trucks are very reliable. Look at most construction companies, most use 3/4 and 1 ton trucks that go for hundreds of thousands of miles and are worked hard. I had a roofing buddy with a 99 f250 diesel with 540 thousand miles on original running gear. I'm not anti Toyota, I've...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West The Moon Truck

I say do a full build thread. Your trooper is one of my favorites. I have always wanted a trooper and now I have two. The white one is a real clean 91 that I bought about 4 years ago. I just picked up the red one for my yard beater on our 6 acres.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2003 Northstar TC650 SOLD

Yes there was about a 4" gap in the front. It doesn't look as noticable in person. I wouldn't have sold it if I wasn't trying to buy another house. It was on craigslist for 1 day and the first person to call came out and bought it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2003 Northstar TC650 SOLD

I'm not sure what you mean by "it does not really fit your truck" I think it fits very nice. I'm selling it because I may be buying another house and may have two houses for a while and my focus would be on the new house and not camping in the near future.

SCATT Recreation in Roseville used to rent tent trailers, but they are also a Northstar dealer. You might check them out.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West If You Could Live Anywhere...

I've lived in Roseville for 35 years and it's a nice town as far as suburbs go,if you like living in the suburbs. My personal preference would be Weimar/Colfax area to Grass Valley/Nevada city.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West lookn at a dodge 2500 sd hemi, manual 4x4

We have an 05 dodge 2500 quad cab 4x4 hemi with an auto trans. at work. Most of our driving is around town and it gets about 9 mpg. Once I took it from Sacramento to Portland and it got about 11-12 mpg. Towing a trailer and small tractor weighing about 7,000# total it got about 6 mpg on the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Interesting Camper Thread on Expedition Portal

I read it too. I would be pissed if i paid that much for that camper. Looks like crap. I still can't understand how someone who researched for 3 years could not order it closer to what they needed, a fancy table with a picture of the U.S. that doesn't get used ? shower too small to use ...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Looking at a 86 F250 4X4.

I've had three f250's with TTB, the first one was an 83 with a 300 six and a four speed. It was the lightest duty gvw and it actually rode nice. The second was an 84 6.9 diesel with a C6 auto. The third was a 93 7.3 diesel with a 5 speed. They are solid workhorse trucks.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Went to the "Dark Side"

Got a toy hauler recently. It is a long range addition the the Grandbaby. This allows us to take the toys, base camp and explore from there. I consider it a good way to go. Camper is always attached and fully stocked. Several times, I have run out of / or needed an item in the trailer and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Tacoma+FWC+dirt bike?

I would think it would be overloaded with a hitchrack on the back and the bike would always have to be unloaded to get in the camper. My vote would be to keep the trailer and put on some bigger tires/wheels and possibly a bigger axle. How can you leave one motorcycle and a mtn. bike on the...
