RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West N. California coast Ideas

Go for the history, because the food isn't what it used to be. I keep my boat maybe 10 min. from the place and I don't go there anymore. The last time I was there was in 2006. We keep going back out of habit.

I'm trying to get some ideas for a trip to the coast in October. We would like to go somewhere between Fort bragg and Crescent city. I've done the Usal rd. from the south end to Shelter Cove. Is the road north worth the drive to Mattole beach ? Basically i'm looking for any nice, primitive...

When you left Weaver Lake, which way did you go, if you continue from where you were camped the road is much better that goes by the Grass Valley Sportsman's club house, after you go around the lake the road improves a great deal, much smoother (not as many rocks), as you know there is no...

Way cool! How was the road to Weaver Lake? It looks pretty gnarly as it forks off from Bowman Lake Rd. Were there a lot of people back there this weekend? The parade looked like a hoot! -steve The road into Weaver Lake isn't that bad, I put into low range just so I could go slow but I...

Graniteville parade Bloomfield schoolhouse- I think it was open from 1865-1941 Bloomfield church Cemetary, it was very humbling walking through the cemetery, I was trying to imagine how rough life must have been for them and how we take so many things for granted. Tom taking a break...

First off I must be getting old because I don't like crowds but I really wanted to get out again in my just built camper so I decided to go on this 4th of July weekend. 10-15 yrs ago I actually liked going to places like the Rubicon on the big Holliday weekends to witness all the Mayhem. We...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Your opinion on 4X2?

It also depends on the type of person you are. If you came around a corner on a dirt road and ran into a snow drift or a decent mud hole would you be content to turn around or try to push on ?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Have truck, need camper

Nice truck. I like the color. I looked at a 1/2 ton version the same color with the inline six a few years ago. Here is my truck I bought about 6 months ago and how it looks today.Very similar, mine is a diesel. I agree about having a basic, simple truck.
