RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Quick removal camper jacks?

I think I get it. I had to read it twice though. As long as there was weight on the jacks they would stay tight and in place, the key hole would prevent any side to side movement, yet they 'should' slip up and down without tools. Release the tension and pop the jacks off....

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SurePower 1314/1315 vs. "battery switch"

and i dont understand how the wiring doesnt fry when you hit the starter....with the camper in parallel. luck? I would guess it is part luck and part the fact that the main truck battery is never discharged enough to require much 'help' from the camper battery. If the truck battery were...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Quick removal camper jacks?

Anyone fab anything to just 'pop' your camper jacks off. I know they are only held on with 2 bolts each.. But I need to do some work to my jacks anyway, so I figured I could make any changes to them at the same time. Quick release pins, etc. Also - anyone fab up super wide camper jacks? I would...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West SurePower 1314/1315 vs. "battery switch"

on the other hand, allowing the campers solar or converter to charge the truck batteries is a noble pursuit. But if you don't use the truck batteries to power the camper -- why would you need to add additional charge to the truck? My trucks alternator seems to make plenty of power to keep...

It appears to be an automatic 'isolator/relay' box - they call it an ACR- much like the 1314/1315.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West What to look for on a used Grandby

I just bought a 1993 Grandby a month ago and had almost all the same questions. The 12v and 120v systems are totally separate in our vintage campers. As had been said the easiest way to upgrade this is to add a battery and then add a charger/maintiner to the mix - so in the situations where you...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West CABINET HINGES

At least you have cabinet doors.... Mine still has the slidng doors. But as has been said, all real plywood, no particle board or OSB. Go with longer screws and dip them in wood glue before you screw them in. Wipe off the extra and you should be good to go.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Used Camper Alert Thread

Oh the trials of craigslist. It sold today right from under my nose while I waited for a return call from the seller. Sorry - I bought it! I got a hold of them on 8/27 and looked at it/picked it up on the 31st. It is a 1993 and I had to remove the aluminum wings and do some super minor...
