RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wire location question

Elk or Moose? Never hunted Canada but, I did climb from Canmore to Jasper in 2000. We popped over to BC but, for only a day. Should spend more time there...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wire location question

I think I'd like to mount a panel inside of the luggage rectangle , lower than the height of the luggage rack depending on the size I get. The method that Kodachrome mounted his second is pretty cool.... Under the nose of the camper. No elk this archery season. Still have a rifle cow tag good...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Wire location question

Go Green- Did you ever connect a panel? If so, how hard was it? I'm just curious where the wires terminate on the roof. I've seen the wires mentioned here in my camper. I have not idea how these work. As simple as connecting to the battery? I've got a 2010 Grandby. I drained my battery while...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Attaching Kayaks to a Grandby

I purchased a hitch hauler. My Diesel 75 fits on it and the door opens. My play boat fits on the luggage rack sideways. I had FWC put 2 extra racks on top but, I find getting the boats up there to be pain.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Shurflo Water Pump Failure?

I had this happen but, it was a connection issue. The pump sucks air easier than water. Mine continued to run as well. You can search on my pump issue from last August and read what others said to me. Bryan

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Free* Grandby front window

I hate to throw it away, if someone wants it, just cover the cost of shipping. It's a front window from a 2010 Grandby. bryandold@hotmail

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water flow problems

Fixed it! The quick disconnect on the inlet must have been slightly loose....I think. I unscrewed it and was getting a draw from the pump. I reconnected it and water poured from the spigot. Thanks for the suggestions. This site is great forum. Bryan

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water flow problems

Has it ever worked??? Might not be drawing and has air locked between the source and pump. Does your model have quick connect fittings at the pump along with a filter on the inlet side? Open the faucet and take the inlet side off and see if the line is clear and you have water to the pump...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water flow problems

I have a 2010 Grandby. When I turn the electric switch on for water the motor runs continuously. When I open the valve no water comes out. The tank is full and I do not have a hot water system. I jammed my huge head into the cabinet and I can see a valve on each side of the pump as well as a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Refrigerator door- Keeping it closed

Darryl- I have a different type that you are describing. I'd take a picture to post but, I am leaving for CA tomorrow. Scott, This is what I am after but, I have a dometic and it's not shaped like yours. It has a plastic clip that slides up and down. I might try to make a bracket at work...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Refrigerator door- Keeping it closed

Has anyone ever had issues keeping their refrigerator door closed when the are off road? The door flies open and the food and most importantly the beer goes for a ride. We lost some eggs the first time. And some beer had to be drank right away the second time. Neither time were we flying. I've...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rack mounted to the jack brackets

No, I meant engineering. Or some tech background? Last weekend I had my raft on top of the grandby but, I was outside Casper WY. I'm not sure I'll do that again as I was concerned about the aluminum roof. Go Avalanche! BD

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rack mounted to the jack brackets

I brought this idea up to my friend and he said I need to be aware of width requirements. He said 8' is the maximum width. I've got a Grandby on a dodge 2500. With my kayak I think I'll be pushing it. My new idea is to mount a rack on the truck bed rails and come out and up over the camper...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Rack mounted to the jack brackets

Has anyone mounted a rack to the jack brackets? My vision is to mount 24" square tubing directly to the 3 holes on the jack brackets and then connect, by welding, the length of the camper. So, basically I will have a rectangular shaped rack for mounting a kayak. I believe the weight would be...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Slider window replacement

I've got an 03 Dodge Ram 2500. I just ordered a new Grandby and I had FWC put in an opening window into the camper. The problem is that the dodge just has a solid window. Has anyone poped out their glass and inserted a slider. If so, how hard was it? Any pitfalls? I can't wait for the...
