RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Looking for online place to buy Firestone Ride-Rite Kit

Thanks. Amazon had several listed. Because Mainline Overland received the wrong brackets from their distributor, I want to make sure that if there is a problem with my order the vendor is good to work with. I drove over 6 hours to get my Hawk, Boston area to West Chester, PA. When Mainline went...

Lots of companies at Amazon. Hoping you could help with one that has good customer service. I just picked up a 2015 Hawk from Mainline in PA but they received the wrong parts from their distributor. So I had to head back to Boston without the bags. Thank Kmac

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electrical confusion...

I don't think he was mentioning a brand name. Only that he was using (2) 200 watt solar flex panels. The Solar Flex you mention is only (2) 100 watt panels in a kit. You could always ask him on the XP forum.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Electrical confusion...

You may want to check out what XP Camper is using for their panels. Here is a quote from them at their forum: "Two 200W Flex Solar panels with aluminum wire deflector. These are more durable, virtually unbreakable and saves close to 80 lb over the older style panel."...

So I went over to the REI site last week to buy the gunwhales that were on sale and they were sold out. Guess all the 4WC folks raced over there and scooped them up after I posted the link, ha!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Systems to unload/mount Canoe or Kayak from Roof

I spoke with Yakima today. They no longer sell the Gunwhales but REI does: http://www.rei.com/product/665014/yakima-gunwale-brackets The guy at Yakima feels the keelover canoe carrier is a better product to secure canoes: http://www.rei.com/product/849951/yakima-keelover-canoe-carrier. Lots...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Systems to unload/mount Canoe or Kayak from Roof

Thanks folks for the great suggestions. The biggest issue I have is the canoe sliding as I push it up and over. This happens a lot even with my trailer hitch slide in T-bar especially when the truck is on an angle on sloped ramps, paths, banks. etc.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Systems to unload/mount Canoe or Kayak from Roof

I have a Hawk on order with their Yakima System and Solar Panel factory installed. Do any of you have a special setup to mount and easily get your canoe or kayak off the roof? My canoe is a 14 foot rowing canoe weighing in at 70 lbs so it's not a light boat. I am trying to avoid trailering...
