RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Shore Power? 2020 Fleet shell

Newbie still, I am picking up my fleet shell hopefully in mid July. I'm getting standard 12v battery and 160 solar on top with controller, extra fan and that's about it. Do all FWCs come with shore power hookup? I can't seem to find this answer on their site. If not, do I have to specify this in...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Purchased first FWC (used). Remodeling questions!

Curious about that faucet. Is it ok to inquire about it here. If so, I've read that it tends to leak quite often. Thoughts. Anyone using it for a period of time to chime in? I wanted to install the same one but am Leary.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New owner needs advice regarding suspension and towing

Thanks Jim, Good to know. Mine won't be on full time and only towing boat with camper 60 miles at most a few times a year. Other than that it will be camper only. I will definitely be getting E tires.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Curious, Stronger bottle jack needed?

Thanks you all for your input as I am a newbie when it comes to having a camper. I suppose I will carry a couple blocks of wood and it sounds like the stock jack will suffice.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Curious, Stronger bottle jack needed?

I have a 2004 4x4 V6 3.4L Taco TRD. Stock bottle jack in truck. I am getting a new FWC bare fleet shell soon. Can't wait after seeing some great mods and journeys. My question is, Does anyone carry a heavier duty jack to lift the truck and camper in the event of a rear flat tire? My Spidey sense...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Shell 2020 -Top of Camper Door Height

Ok, silly me. Apparently my brain wasn't working as normal? Maybe a little Abby Normal. I can use the FWC site and use the Self-Guided 3D virtual tour measurement tool. Looks like it's about 3' 10" from the bottom of the camper to the top of the door frame. Suppose I can now measure from my...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fleet Shell 2020 -Top of Camper Door Height

I am getting a Fleet shell for my 2004 Taco TRD. No suspension mods other than air bags. It sits at stock height/level. I know the height will vary a bit but, I am trying to get a ballpark idea on how high the camper door entrance is at the top of the door frame with a similar if not the same...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper dolly height.

Thank you, Good to know. I am picking up a brand new Fleet Shell in July 2020. Did you happen to see the question regarding the lip entering the garage between the pavement and the garage slab. Did you fill it? If so what did/do you use? I have a pretty big lip/gap there and would like to fill...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper dolly height.

Hey villageidiot, :) Thanks, that's perfect. Curious, I wouldn't think it's necessary to build one to cover the entire bottom of the camper? I will definitely make it so it will not tip either way when moving. There's not a lot of room in my garage and I would assume the campers are built tough...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New owner needs advice regarding suspension and towing

All advice here is valued and greatly appreciated. I will be reaching out to a local pro regarding my current situation and move forward in determining the correct path for the suspension. Again, the camper will not be on the truck 24/7. Unfortunately, I will maybe get 5 or 6 uses out of the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New owner needs advice regarding suspension and towing

Thank you, I do not plan on going off road. One site is a short 1 mile smooth dirt road drive down to the site and without the boat. Any other camping is paved access. After posting this I called the local dealer. The very knowledgeable gentleman in the parts department mentioned the same...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper dolly height.

Thank you, I would assume 12-13 inches would suffice and leave a little room for moving. Just a little lip from the driveway into the garage.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New owner needs advice regarding suspension and towing

Hi all, Great forum, I am picking up a new bare Fleet shell hopefully in mid July 2020 if all goes well. COVID delays. Stay well my friends. :) Driving from Spokane to Bozeman and back, 1200 miles RT, to get it. I have a 2004 4x4 Toyota Tacoma TRD extra cab, 3.4-liter, towing package...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper dolly height.

I am purchasing a fleet shell. I would like to know the height of the very bottom of the camper when it is off the truck and the camper jacks are at their lowest position? This will help me determine how high I need to build a dolly as I have minimal clearance in my garage.
