RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 4 Wheel Camper Cybertruck plans

Thanks again for insights and expertise. I agree that scaling is going to be difficult. Still, what is the alternative? Our current fossil fuel system is simply unsustainable. Climate impacts are already being felt in a serious enough manner that they threaten our global economic and social...

2 BEV Jeeps coming in ~2025. A Wrangler called the Recon 4xe and a Wagoneer S. They look very traditional. I’m not a Jeep guy myself, but I think you will love them. I hope they do very well. We will soon have the numbers on the CT so the guessing will finally end. Production starts this summer.

I just looked into it. There already are Tesla chargers in the middle of Baja. There are over 50 Tesla superchargers and destination chargers along the length of the peninsula. There are many more that aren’t specific to Tesla. I have driven a Tesla since 2017 so I understand the range...

I understand your points. We definitely need more chargers in remote locations. I agree. I have lived in Utah my entire 56 years, so I understand my use case pretty well. It’s usually some pretty remote places. I’m not that worried about it. 400 miles isn’t minimal in my use case, but it may not...

Thanks Craig. I know there is plenty of speculation out there and appreciate you digging into it. I was not familiar with that article. Definitely helpful. 400 miles under a class 4 load with a 180 kWh pack is fantastic. The CT is extremely unlikely to touch class 4 fully loaded. The stated...

Range for the CT is projected to be greater than 500 miles. It would be more dependent on aerodynamics than 1200 lbs of weight on the highway. Payload is 3500 lbs. Off road at slower speeds BEVs are much more efficient than ICE. The range off road would be greater than 500. So if the topper is...

If nobody knows, how about suggestions. Seems like a project M kind of solution would be amazing. The tailgate on the CT is sealed from water and dust intrusion (it’s rumored to be able to float) and the climate control can be used in the bed of the truck with the carbon/hepa filter. Not to...

Anyone out there know of any plans from 4WC for the Cybertruck? It’s a weird shape, but I love my Fleet and have a CT on order.

Very nice. Food for thought definitely. I love the rear cradle set up with the twist on the bars and the front wheel on the bike. Which setup did you like better, front or rear? Here is my current way too long with the step setup. This one is with a 4’ rise, but I think I would go 8’ rise and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bike transport with tailgate down

I love the rear mounting, but I’m not sure my old camper would accommodate it. In days of yore, the rear section had a 1’ x 2.5” square tube on top of the frame. No wood involved. I also did some measurements and the the combination of the shorter Fleet and today’s long wheelbase modern bikes...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bike transport with tailgate down

I have an older Feet that is 8 feet. I rebuilt the camper and it’s exactly what I want. The extra space inside is worth its weight in gold. Unfortunately, it means having the tailgate down on my GMC Canyon. In itself I haven’t found this to be a problem, but I love to mountain bike and I have...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West adding a outdoor shower

https://atoverland.com/products/fast-disconnect-external-shower I had one of these on my Sportsmobile and when I rebuilt my old Fleet I put one in. Most if not all RV showers with the big box and taps and such are too big of a hole and not great quality IMHO. The above unit has a small...
