Dangerous Twisting of Jacks When raising and Loading Alaskan 10 CO on my Ford Long bed

I purchased some 1 1/2 inch pipe and was going to make some extensions but ran out of time. In my preliminary measurements I could get about 3 inches. On mine the jack post fits 8 inches into the tripod. We had to lift the camper 40.5 inches and that about was the max for the jacks. Ours is a...

Dangerous Twisting of Jacks When raising and Loading Alaskan 10 CO on my Ford Long bed

We just installed our 1988 8' cabover onto our 2016 F250 using the brock jacks the camper came with. (We bought the entire set-up from our friend who is the original owner) You are absolutely correct the installation is hair raising to say the least. We were on level ground and the tripods...

What do you have going for an electrical system?

Started looking into the wiring in our 88 CO. It appears the converter / inverter (if that's what it is) doesn't work. The 12 volt suff does work as long as the converter / inverter is turned off. If it is switched to the on position nothing works. I'm wondering what people are using for a...

What do you have between the camper and the truck bed?

We have a 2016 Ford F250. Our 1988 CO Alaskan is coming Sunday. Just wondering if anyone has an Alaskan mounted on a F250 and how thick of base you had to put in the bed between the bed and camper so the cabover clears the truck cap. Thanks

Anyone know the specs on older Alaskan heaters

I tried to post a picture but the file apparently was too large. This is in a 1988 Alaskan. Any info would be appreciated like how it works, how much propane it used and of course it's efficiency and safety. Thank You

    Alaskan jacks

Thanks - How much do you want for the remainder of your Pirelli seal? Also do you remember how low the Alaskan jacks got you to the ground? I'm trying to avoid purchasing cable jacks. I have 4 floor jacks that will easily handle the weight but I'm not sure if they will go high enough.

    Alaskan jacks

Did you replace the inner and outer Pirelli with less than 50 Feet? When you lowered the camper down using the Alaskan jacks how close to the ground did the camper get to the ground?

    Alaskan jacks

Newbee here. Just purchased a 1988 cabover side dinette Alaskan and need to know how low the Alaskan jacks will lower the camper as it needs some work and my garage opening is too low to just drive it in and take it off my truck. It's in great shape but needs cleaning seals checking out. Bought...
