    Victron solar charger not charging

Iv'e since gone in and disabled the equalization setting after watching a few videos on YouTube. Looks like it's not good for Lithium batteries. Also dropped the float voltage down to 13.2v. Curious as to which of the settings tells the controller when to begin charging, i.e., at what s.o.c...

    Victron solar charger not charging

I came out this morning and the MPPT was charging. I read about the battery not being discharged enough to trigger the controller to start charging. That must have been what was happening. Thanks for the responses guys.

    Victron solar charger not charging

Have a MPPT 100/30 smart solar charger/controller. It was working fine until I shut it off via the app. I tried turning it back on and now it continues to show as off and 0 watts from the solar panel. The blue light (bulk)on the controller is flashing every few seconds which makes me think it’s...

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

Took the Hawk down to FWC in Woodland. They checked it out. Turned out to a faulty igniter. Said it was easier for them to just swap out the entire furnace. Everything's working fine now. :-)

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

Have decide instead to head down to the service dept. at FWC in Woodland. They said they can take a look at it. I'll report back on the outcome.

Thanks Wandering Sagebrush. I have a lithium 206ah charged to 100%.

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

FWC sent me a new sail switch and a new control board. Neither of those fixed the problem permanently. It worked once after replacing the sail switch and then it did not work. I've removed the duct from the front. I've lit both burners on the stove. I'm going to try and find a repair shop that...

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

Thanks Wandering Sagebrush. After reading the various threads regarding the furnace, months before getting the camper, that was one of the first things I did after getting the camper home. :-(

    2023 Hawk furnace problem.

I posted in another thread but getting no responses. Thought I'd start a new thread. Picked up a new Hawk model camper. I tried the furnace after getting it home. It worked fine. Went out on an overnight camping trip. Turned on the furnace and heard what sounded to be three attempts at starting...

Went on an overnight camp trip. Battery and DC-DC charger working great! Propane furnace on the other hand, not so great. It worked fine at home and plugged into shore power. I went ahead and removed the ducting. Got out to the camp spot, which is at sea level, and no heat. It goes through three...

I'm pleased with how the DC-DC charging project turned out. On the trial run it appeared I was getting from 28-32 amps from the charging battery. Thanks Jon R for the help. I ended up leaving the DC-DC controller in the upper position. I didn't feel like messing with it anymore. It's a real pain...

Jon R, I, too, did not get the solar package. I chose to do the installation myself. :-) My camper came with the standard single AGM battery. The DC-DC/Solar controller that FWC installed seems to be an older version made by Redarc. Here is a quote from something I found online from a year ago...

I'm pretty inexperienced on DC electrical. I've read a lot of the electrical threads on WTW and thought I had a pretty good grasp on things, but am finding it difficult to figure some things out. I contacted one of the members, Jon R, but am unable to respond to his message for some reason. Jon...

The first task is to install the DC/DC charger. I purchased a SOK 206AH lithium battery. It fits nicely inside the rear battery compartment. The charger is a Victron 12/12-30.

Prepping Ram 2500 for Hawk question

Jon R, The rail on my Ram extends out about 1 1/2 inches. Even if you can cut down those bumpers, it seems like taking off maybe an inch would not amount to much of a change out the back. Oh well. CreekRob, sorry, didn't mean to hijack your thread. :-)

Prepping Ram 2500 for Hawk question

I'm in the same place as you CreekRob. I'll be picking up a new Hawk in a few days. Putting it on a 2021 Ram 2500 crew cab. Every photo I've come across online seems to show the Hawk extending passed the bed on the Ram 2500 w/ 6'4" bed. I'm wondering if it is possible to cut down those rubber...

After watching a bunch of reviews on solar panels, I've settled on a HQST 190 watt panel. I've decide to limit my Hawk roof to one panel. Will be carrying two kayaks with me on most trips so there's the probability of shading. I'm now looking for a good portable panel for the rear connection on...

Hello again. JonR, thanks for the photos. I think I recall reading where you went with the SOK 206Ah battery. Am I correct? If so, is the battery cabinet in your Hawk by the back door? How is the fit? Vic, yes, I'm going to ditch the factory AGM that comes with FWC Hawk. I've decided to go...

Thanks everyone for the kind welcoming. Vic, I've really learned a lot from your article on "Building out an Electrical System". Also read a good one from KP Pawley. I came away with a much clearer understanding of the three ways to keep those batteries charged. I originally went with the...

Hello, I just stumbled across this website and am really enjoying reading about the FWC's. I ordered a Hawk model and due date is 6/2023. I'm already planning a battery/electrical upgrade and have learned a lot in the last week, reading the various threads from this site. I went with the...
