RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Table legs

    I haven’t but I’ll give that a shot before I buy a new leg.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Table legs

Unfortunately my Lagun table leg is pinched and doesn’t go up and down very easily. Disappointing as it’s less than a year old and installed properly. Not sure how it pinched, thinking maybe my dog landing on it from the bed. Any recommendations on a replacement? I see a few different versions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Alternative materials for benches and possibly floor?

I unfortunately damaged the rug on the passenger side bench drilling and left an ugly bare mark. It’s nothing terrible but it’s giving me an opportunity to maybe put in a different material to alleviate. Has anyone replaced this rug with a different material? I’m primarily considering cork, and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

Happy to be the guinea pig. Now I’m deciding between a shorter fold over couch or the og plan.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

I pulled the plug on it. Didn’t like the mounting location and strength of those small strips of wood. Back to the drawing board. Top of the shelves would be better.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

Here is the first rendition. I think I need to shorten the back and unfortunately the 3/4” base still bends too much even with a couple 3/4” strips for reinforcement. Will probably replace that with a more rigid board. It will be upholstered/cushioned.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

Here’s the brackets I have. I’m thinking about mounting to the sides of the benches over the wheel wells as opposed to on top. I would have to remove the doors on the storage and replace with netting most likely. Do you all see an issue with mounting there? It’s the 3/4” panel and a 1”x1” strip...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

Yeah the brackets I have, which I think are the same as the FWC stock ones, have slanted backs built in. I’d have to fill in the space when it’s folded forward but that shouldn’t be too bad to do.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

Yeah the biggest issue is fitting my dogs kennel, particularly early season grouse hunting when it’s wet and muddy. I was thinking more along the lines of a bench that will fold up flat against the wall. I suppose I could mount the kennel on the bench when it’s flat. Then have storage below.

I have some brackets. My only complaint is you lose some space due to the angled back.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold up bench?

I have a never ending debate with what to do for seating in my hawk shell. Now I’m considering a bench that will fold in the front of the camper under the window. Anyone ever DIY one or is there a pre fab of this available?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roll over couch options

Yeah I’ve been hesitant to do anything as the shell model has plenty of space when I need to put a crate inside (mostly only early season grouse hunting). Does the roll over couch effect lighting inside? I like the big window for more than just a view.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Roll over couch options

Anyone add a roll over couch to their shell model? I currently just have a Lagun table and a couple fold out chairs. I don’t like the idea of blocking the window, any east to west couch options? I’d probably be more likely to buy a pre made couch to install but I’m not opposed to a custom DIY...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flat bed and Gap

Bed swaps are not a terrible idea. Wasn’t thinking that mainly in that I was planning to consider a new truck when my Tundra hit 100k miles. While I know it’s a baby in Toyota years I’d like a bigger backseat in planning for the future family.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Flat bed and Gap

The flat bed bug is hitting me hard and I could rational a new truck in the next few years. My current FWC is a hawk slide in on my tundra. I see lots of flatbed trucks for sale, mostly for the trades, that look nice but I’m concerned about the gap above the cab. What have y’all done in this...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Toilets for FWC Shell

I’m definitely confused on toilets and how they work. My current set up is a toilet seat made by reliance that I put a bag in for solids. It works but I’m not thrilled about a bucket of **** bags in the camper during transport. I’m thinking about upgrading to something a bit better. This will be...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Disappointments

Not going to lie. Im a little disappointed in the Lagun table. Once it’s out and set up it’s great. But I’m finding it a little cumbersome to pull out initially. The biggest issue is setting the height. It just fights me when I try to slide it up or down. Has anyone oiled the bracket or found a...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ARB Twin Compressor on ‘19 Tundra

Installed the compressor a little while ago and my fiance got me a morflate four way inflation hose set up. I then converted my single tire inflation hose to a blow gun. Really happy with this set up!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Table Install

Yep he’s a Draht! He’s at 60lbs right now and definitely makes it tighter. But we make it work. He’s usually just chilling up on the bed when we are in the camper, but will do some occasional surprise inspections.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Table Install

image uploader Ignore the clutter and weird dog. We are just using cheap tripod chairs from REI for now. The plan is to configure some kind of permanent seating. But during hunting season there is a kennel to the left, where the dog bed is, so this option might be the best for flexibility.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lagun Table Install

Ended up installing it with supplied bolts just through the side plywood. Super solid, I was going to use the supplied square of ply on the backside for additional support but the bolts weren’t long enough. I’ll either replace with longer bolts or bigger washers at a later date, I don’t think...
