RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West All terrain camper insurance?

We have our Bobcat insured through Geico. The VIN gave us a few issues since the number is much different than a "normal" vehicle VIN but it was easy enough to confirm. We just have to do the same each renewal as their system seems to flag it as an error.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Questions and Troubleshooting

Thanks, 57Pan. I do like the simplicity of one unit versus the multiple parts. Did you have to run new wire and plugs from your truck? ATC installed 10 AWG and everything I am seeing seems to want 8 or better yet 6.

Thanks, Vic. It seems like a full overall is what I need to do. I am reading up on DCDC chargers now. Is there any downside besides cost over an isolator? I am thinking Victron for everything too.

Thanks, pvstoy. Do you have a recommendation for a good isolator. I like the idea of having one since we tend to boondocks for a few days at a time. Sagebrush, I have been looking at panel the specifically do not have the built in controller. Is there a specific advantage to a panel that has one?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Questions and Troubleshooting

Hello. We recently pulled the icebox and put in a 12V fridge (Dometic NRX60T). We have notice significant draw from our battery, which is not surprising but the battery does not seem to be charging even after driving the truck for an hour or more. Everything but the fridge is ATC installed...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane or Stovetop Issue

Thanks everyone. I loosened the set screw on the tank valve to bleed off the tank a bit (YouTube idea) and replaced the connector hose from the tank to the regulator. So far so good but we still pack a backup camping stove just in case.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane or Stovetop Issue

Thanks everyone for the quick replies. It has cut a few trips short so we are hoping to get this figured out. Unfortunately, Marty has been a bit MIA on some other questions we have had so I turned to you all. (I also have a few "upgrade" ideas coming that I hope to get some opinions and...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Propane or Stovetop Issue

Hello! 2020 Bobcat owner and loving the camper. We are have issues with consistent lighting of our stovetop. It will light sometimes and then not at other times - on the same trip with no moving, no turning off the valve, etc. This past trip we cooked dinner with both burners just fine and...
