RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Any long term issues with removing heater conduit?

did you use the replacement (older model) sail switch? Care to share the part number if you did. I remember reading a lot of postings that stated the older model worked better than the new part number.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Grandby vs Kenai?

Have a lot of info but will keep it short. FWC vs ATC: both are great companies. FWC has a few more upgrades than the ATC in terms of upgrades over the years. ATC is tried and true to the original FWC. As others stated (it depends on what you need/want) keep the "upgrades" to a min. I don't...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lift panel rivet repair ‘03 Eagle

There a ton of articles/posts on how to do it. You might consider doing the vinyl at the same time if it's even in marginal condition. Also, the newer composite panels are a lot stronger IMHO.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West WTB camper jacks - Modesto

I can tell you that when I was shopping for jacks (used) I couldn't find any and the best price was from FWC and/or ATC. If you look at the price of the brackets alone, the incremental price to get the brackets and jacks wasn't huge.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Any long term issues with removing heater conduit?

I haven't had any issues after a few years, but wondered about the heat that isn't being directed to the grill, heating up the wood cabinets. I have found it interesting too that Atwood claimed there was no reason that the duct would cause an issue yet FWC went with a new manufactuer.

Welcome back and glad to hear about your "personal" journey and you are well. No mention of the "pups" though :)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West BMS disconnecting LiFePO4 charger at 14.0 volts

As others stated, you can probably use one of the available apps to adjust the values on the BMS. Prepare for a ton of things you can adjust with those apps. I'm not sure I've ever really figured out what they all do but I did adjust the top end values, etc. that I understood. Remember too...

That's terrible news and I agree with you that they should make you whole somehow. I would expect all new truck and camper. Good luck!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Rally in Oregon; recommendations before/after

We're going to the FWC Rally @ White River in Tygh Valley in June and looking for ideas/recommendations for additional camping/fishing/backpacking after (or before) the event. I've not fly fished that area before so it'll all be new to me. I'd like to get some fly fishing in while we're in the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Insulating under flatbed tray?

I've thought about using some of those interlocking rubberized mats on the floor (someone posted about those recently) and that would provide some easy insulation for sure. I'm just not sure if dirt, etc. would get in between the "joints" or maybe find a 1 piece rubberized solution.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Insulating under flatbed tray?

I don't have furring strips under the flatbed camper. There is quite a bit of room under the flatbed tray. I'll have to try and take pictures as it'd make it more clear on what I'm thinking.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Insulating under flatbed tray?

I've noticed on colder days, the floor area on my flatbed Hawk is cold. I was thinking about putting some insulation under the flatbed. I do have a "horse mat" pad (not very thick) under the camper (between it and the tray). I was thinking I could put some insulation under the tray and keep...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Mostly Exploring Idaho

Nice report. As a long time resident of Idaho and a lot of backpacking, backcountry camping, etc. there are some areas that you should explore (but I don't know where you've been, etc.). Like most states, there are so many places and it depends on what you like, etc. You might like high...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Lithium or AGM

One other thing to consider... how long will you keep this rig? All the reasons above are spot on but if you aren't going to keep this rig for a few years, the cost of the LifePO4 probably isn't worth it.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West stopping in at FWC or ATC

I know ATC said they'd allow me to "camp" in their lot quite a few years ago. FWC may or may not but they have room in their lot as they park some of their rigs in there. Whether or not they'll let you, there's a ton of areas around there (industrial park) that you could find. It does raise...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Price increase, FWC insurance, etc.

Awesome updates/upgrades to the FWC campers. I agree the prices went up but it seems like you are getting more for the amount of the price increase!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC Price increase, FWC insurance, etc.

I'm sure this has been discussed but FWC is raising prices in a few days... $1000 for non-projectX's. I'm also looking for insurance for my personal home, rentals, autos, camper (had a bad year of claims so my home insurance wasn't getting re-newed (i.e. dropped)... that led me down the path of...
