RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bobcat to 2nd gen tundra

Check the depth of your truck bed rails and your height of cab for the front overhang. Check that your width will fit between the jacks. You might need to build a box for the camper to sit on and also you might need jack bracket extensions... I had a FWC Ranger on a gen 1 Tundra and needed...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Bed extension and insurance questions

Bed extension - I don't have a great picture. This one was for my awning bolts... I think the plywood thickness is probably 3/8 and no more than 1/2 inch. You might call ATC and check for sure. It is an 18" extension and is supported on both long sides, by the end piece and resting on the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Iota DLS-30/IQ4 and Lithium Batteries

My ATC Panther came with the DLS-30/IQ4 and when I switched to a Battle Born battery I switched it out for a DLS-30 with the Iota IQ-LIFEPO controller. Then, my BB battery died... In talking to BB tech support, I was told that it was fine to use the DLS-30/IQ4 even though it doesn't charge at...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Widening Ranger/Eagle jack stance for F-150

On my old FWC Ranger, I used 1/4 aluminum plates to clear the Tundra width. The jack also had the rieco-titan folding extensions.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How to load camper onto a Uhaul trailer.

I think the issue may be the height of the side walls on a u-haul trailer. There are some pictures here - https://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/1908-fwc-mounted-on-a-trailer/ of campers on utility trailers. Around here, you can rent utility trailers from the big hardware stores and might...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ATC PVC material needs reshaping

Are you using the bungee cords and are they still tight? I haven't had that issue except when not using the bungee cords. That being said, I have noticed that I can see the PVC siding along the front and rear edge when the roof is locked down. But it does not hang out of the roof overhang.

Hi HCP, Welcome to WTW! I don't have a Cougar (long bed), I have a Panther (short bed) but I'll share some pictures from when I was going through planning out my camper build. Here is a Cougar with sofa from the ATC site - When my Panther was built I had them shorten the sofa and add the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Camper jack brackets?

Mcgee, Congratulation on your new camper! I would recommend calling ATC to answer that question. They are most helpful with providing instructions for that sort of thing. And if it turns out that it is more than you want to tackle, they would be able to handle the modification for you. Jim

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anyone in Corvallis OR area have a Bobcat camper.

I have a Tundra and ATC Panther. And I have used the camera source license plate camera since 2017. If they have one for your year Tacoma, it is plug and play. It requires no modification to the factory wiring. I am thinking about mounting it to the camper so that it is higher for a better...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Shoulder Season Use

I have run the heater with the roof closed, that should not be a problem. A small electric heater is a good idea. You might take the drawer out and open the cabinet door below the sink for better air flow into those areas. On my Panther the water pump is next to the drawer. On my old 2000...
