Yikes! Glad it wasn't worse. Yeah, I vote for old and not bold, too.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Northern New Mexico - June 2024

There is an old saying in our family “Better late than never.” I believe this applies here. There is a new adventure posted on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog. This was a short trip and is only a single post. I hope you enjoy it. Lagunitas, Carson National Forest, NM - June 2024...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best solution to reduce body roll

I have a smaller truck, a Tacoma, but Bilsteins made a big improvement in body stability, though my issue was more with rocking than rolling. I also have E-rated tires with pressure set for the load (determined using CAT scales.)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2013 Four Wheel Fleet Random Wire in Battery Area

I bought a 2013 Fleet new and ordered it with the roof solar plug (but not the rear and no factory solar panels.) The wires looked similar to yours, but can't check as several years later I installed my own solar system and my memory is not perfect. Those were the only extra wires in the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West In Search of San Rafael Swell, UT - May 2024

It’s taken me more than a month to get it together, but here is a new adventure posted on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog. It’s in three parts to make it a bit more manageable and there are even more photos than usual. I hope you enjoy reading and looking! Part 1 - Cedar Mesa...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Water system issue

Yeah, sounds like it's not priming. Don't run the pump too long at one go lest it overheat. This happened to me semi-regularly years ago and just kept trying until it worked. You might try filling your water tank to the absolute max so the pump doesn't have to work as hard. Also, always open...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Source for screen door slider?

I never found the old search to work that well for me. I generally used that big search engine and added "site:wanderthewest.com" to the search terms. Not the answer you were looking for, I realize.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Need new Toyota shocks…Recommendations?

I've been running the Bilstein 5100s for a bit over 10 years on my 2013 Tacoma. It is unlifted and stock. I gather that series won't fit on your '93, but it's a vote for the brand, nonetheless.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Forum Update - We're back! Ask your questions here.

Apparently the options for automatically following the content I create didn't transfer over to the new software. You have to go to Your Account/Settings/Preferences/Content Options to set how you want to handle follows or what I guess is now called "watch." A small surprise, but I can handle...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Forum Update - We're back! Ask your questions here.

Thanks to the support team for quickly getting back to me with the info to allow me to log back into the forum. I didn't understand the difference between "hidden username" and "display name"—though it makes sense in retrospect. Also a bit of operator error when I tried to use the wrong email...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Cosmic Campground - May 2024

There is a new adventure posted on Bosque Bill's Backroads travel & camping blog. I took my first camping trip of the season earlier this month—just a short one, to Cosmic Campground in New Mexico, a new location for me with lots of wildflowers. Of course, I’ve included lots of photos of those...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West DIY Thermal Pack/Inner Canvas

Agreed. Very cool. I did look up the Barrier fabric you used and Seattle Fabrics does say that it uses a "breathable film", so hopefully that will help with moisture issues. I like your concept of having the original windows velcro to your new liner. This is a project I keep thinking I should...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Anecdote: No gas from full propane bottle.

I included this note at the end of my last trip report, but realize you might not have seen that. This little story presents the problem and the solution. Maybe it will help you sometime. As cold as it was Monday morning I thought it prudent to check the level in my active propane tank as I...

Oops, I did it again. In my last trip report I claimed to have split my last trip into two parts. Well, I’m now splitting the last part in two. I promise there will only be three parts now to the trip report. The last part, coming soon, will cover Dolores Canyon in Colorado. Autumn in the...
