RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Looking at my first camper

Thanks. I'm excited. Camping up till now for me has been in a tent, carried on the back of my enduro motorbike, so this is a life of luxury in comparison. Having a cooktop, refrigerator, a bed with a mattress that isn't a thermarest, and covered in dust is all new to me. I'm looking forward to...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Looking at my first camper

I just wanted to update this thread. After everyones thoughts here, I began looking more closely at FWC and ATC options. Sadly none came up for sale in my area at a reasonable price. They are obviously well respected on the used market, and the models I were most interested in were commanding...

Thanks for the additional thoughts. After consulting with my parents, they would like an inside shower/toilet as they like to free camp as much as possible with their Winnebago in Australia. I still have a couple of months till I need to purchase one, I've also expanded my search to include...

As long as it fits in a 40ft shipping container with my truck, its all the same cost :) And it isn't cheap. Neither is converting a truck to RHD for that matter :/ Good to know. Both my parents are in reasonable shape.

Thanks. Both posts are exactly the feedback I was after. I need airbags anyway for my 5th wheel hitch, and on the Fords there is no diff between an F350/F250 apart from taller rear suspension blocks (my truck is tuned/deleted and can't handle more axle wrap from taller blocks) and a higher GVWR...

Thanks for that, I have kept ATC in mind as well, but given I am looking at a used model, ATC's are thin on the ground in comparison to Northstar and FWC. Also, both FWC's and Northstar have dealers in Australia, which is a plus for when it gets sent over there and I need parts. From what I...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West Looking at my first camper

Hi everyone! In the next couple of months, I will be in the market for a truck camper and I had some questions. I am a first time camper buyer, and the camper will be used by my parents for a 3 month trip up to Alaska from California this summer. After returning to California, both my truck...

RV LIFE Multisite Forum, Wander The West 2000 F-350 7.3l 6-speed Super Cab Long Bed

Hi, I am regrettably putting up for sale my 2000 Ford F-350 XLT SuperCab Long Bed. It is fitted with the 7.3l Power Stroke diesel engine, ZF-6 manual transmission and 4x4. I am the third owner of this truck, and have a clean Californian title in hand. The truck is not perfect, but isn’t far from...
