RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West rubber trim molding

just drove 8 hours of highway speed in 100+ degree weather and my rubber molding around the cab-over portion of the camper won't stay put. luckily the ends are riveted in or it would have just blown off altogether. I presume the rubber trim just got more pliable in the heat and couldn't retain...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fridge Causes Voltage Drop?

yes. sorry guys, 14 volts. thanks for the catch. Not sure how long the bulk charge was on the old batteries though. Going forward, i'll test the controller voltage with a multimeter and keep an eye out for the 13.2 to 13.8v charging.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fridge Causes Voltage Drop?

Just experienced a similar situation last weekend while in the White Mountains. Voltage (as measured on my Morningstar PM 15) dropped rapidly from 12.6 volts to 11.x within one hours, causing the low voltage alarm on my propane sensor to go bonkers just as the toddler and wife fell asleep...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Best type of rug for camper?

I skipped the carpet altogether. I bought the rubber mats you would find in a restaurant. They are the thick ones with the big holes in them. They work awesome. All the dirt falls into the holes and the rubber mat feels good on the feet. Keeps Rubbermaids stable as well when traveling.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Wiring - pictures?

Just adding to this thread as I was also in search of my wires and found this thread helpful. I have a 2009 hawk, which does not have a junction box. So off I went looking in all the nooks and crannies I could find. After some frustrating moments of not finding them, I found them behind a wood...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West GONE - Dometic 3-way (RM 2193)

Just pulled this fridge out of my four wheel camper today. Im switching to a larger 2-way fridge with solar. This fridge works perfectly on 120v, proving to me that the ammonia is still good. However on the propane function it does not perform as well IMO. I'm sure it needs some level of...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Air compressors

Anyone have a preference on air compressors? I can't justify the high end compressors (200 bucks). I'm looking for something in the middle of the range (less than 75 bucks).

Hey guys - I'll be posting this on craigslist, but wanted to post here first since the truck is set up for a four wheel camper (with the exception that I removed the bolts and wiring for my new truck). 2006 Toyota Tundra Double Cab (very clean condition) Engine: 4.7L. 151K on the odometer...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 7-pin connection

I already have the male end of the 3 pin (which came in the installation kit). So, you are suggesting that I chop the 7-pin male from the camper then and wire it as a 3? The wiring harness seems to have more than three wires coming into that 7 pin male.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 7-pin connection

Prior to picking up my used 2009 FWC Hawk, I called up FWC and asked to have an electrical wire kit sent out to me for a used camper that I was buying. What was sent to me was a 3 pin connector kit (trolling motor connectors) among other small things; however, when I went to pick up the camper...

http://www.flickr.com/gp/133219607@N04/6hs2Wv Okay, the parts arrived today. Upon review of the parts and comparing to the invoice, I'm now convinced that I would agree with Ethergore and I would have rather purchased these from a local hardware store. Above is a link to the parts that were...

Parts are arriving tomorrow with an invoice. I'll get you that information along with the list of parts included.
