RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Firestone airbags and daystar cradles?

Installed over 11k miles ago (3 months on the road). No problems at all with lining up after flex- or having the rig up on a lift doing work. I check the pressure once a month, bags holding on great. 1st gen Tacoma with FWC Eagle. Thanks to all who have ran this setup and reported so far!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Firestone airbags and daystar cradles?

Glad I found this thread- thanks to all who have shared. I may be pulling the trigger on this setup. I'd wondered, is there a way to put really strong magnets on the cradle and the bottom of the bag to help align it? That said, we do get into some gnarly trails- but with the camper on- not sure...

Thanks! It's been a great platform- the truck is extremely capable. And with only 163k miles, it's still getting broken in!

Those look better as the roof lifts one panel at a time- not straight up. That allows a bit of distance built in so the gas shocks don't bind on the ends of the roof as it lifts/lowers. I'll look into getting some of those. Got busy today and wired up the charge controller & roof plug- stoked...

Thanks Longhorn. I appreciate the links Vic! Great idea about the breaker/switch. Ordering that now. Will be nice to cut the power from the solar if the truck sits around for a few months. Hoping to get this installed before the end of this week or next! Squatch, I saw that somewhere before...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 2007 FWC Eagle Build

Hi all, my wife and I just got married & are building up a 2007 FWC Eagle along with our 2003 Tacoma 4x4. This will serve as our home on wheels for our honeymoon as we search for where we want to plant roots with our two dogs. To be transparent, I knew nothing about vehicles or campers before...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Organizing rear of cab for storage?

I built a storage & dog platform as well. Hinged access to everything under is great! Now I keep my tools and recovery gear here, instead of in the FWC.
