I've never heard of that issue either, but I'd definitely look at your caster. We use a small dual axle trailer with ours when we go wheeling because I'm always afraid of breaking stuff. But ours is not built up either... Almost all stock.

On mine, there is a slide mechanism on the top, outside of the frame that catches the door latch. It slides to a position more towards the middle to allow the door to be "latched" in a slightly open position for drying out. I'd think you'd know if you were having that problem though, but...

Looks real nice... Were the issues with Alum-Line or the fitment? I had issues with Alum-Line getting the dimensions correct, but they eventually got it corrected.

Just to through in one more opinion, I was having this issue too, and for me it was the stock battery separator. I'm sure the truck battery to camper wiring could have been making my situation worse, but changing to the Blue Sea unit has made a big difference. The "I'm not going to close"...
