RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Sanitizing water containers

Hmm, thanks for pointing that out. Honestly, works great when brewing beer and just thought it should work fine for the water containers. Should have read the directions! Going to edit my other post.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Arctic pak

In agreement with all the people saying it's a step in the right direction. Not perfect, but every bit helps. I also have reflectix in the glass windows, cabinets, under the bed, and around the propane cabinet.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Arctic pak

Yes, it helps so much in the heat that I leave mine in all year. If you can't get it from the dealer, you can order directly from FWC and they will ship it to you.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar Panel Mount on FWC Roof Question

The panel on my Eagle is mounted to the Yakima tracks using four bolts and track nuts. Makes it easy to move around or remove. I don't have a picture of mine, but this guy has a similar setup: http://www.wanderthewest.com/forum/topic/6465-solar-panel-mount-on-yakima-racks/#entry84359

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Speaking of freezing....

I'm sure it depends on how cold it is, but I skied out of my FWC about 40 days last year on the west coast including some days in Lassen where it was close to 0F. I keep the heater at 40F at night, and if it's super cold outside I'll leave the heater on at 35F. Never worried about in transit...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Solar/Fridge Question

I have the same fridge in my 2016 Fleet. I use 12v when driving because the propane blows out on the highway and I also don't have to worry about the flame when I'm fueling up. However, I switch to propane for any stop over an hour. In my opinion, the 12v is really for driving only since the...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West How many nights in 2017?

Checking the log book, we hit 64. Would have hit 70 if I didn't get injured rock climbing in November. When I bought the camper in January I thought I might be around 30 days a year, but the camper makes it so easy to get out there that we find ourselves skiing/biking/climbing more than ever...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West 65L Isotherm 2-way fridge questions

I don't have a picture, but I just used a strip of velcro. If you search on the site, some people have some good permanent solutions such as using a privacy door lock or latch, but I didn't want to put a hole in anything. I put a piece of adhesive velcro on the fridge and one on the cabinet...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West GONE - Dometic 3-way (RM 2193)

I've been wanting to replace my 3 way for the exact same reasons. Was curious which 2 way you went with and how easy the swap was. Thanks!

Thanks for the good info! My eagle is a 2016 (one of the last ones they made).

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dometic 65L power/current draw

I like that idea. I have the three way fridge in my Eagle and hate the thing. I've been looking for replacements and was leaning towards an Isotherm 65L, but I like the flexibility of your idea. Did you have to modify the cabinet or was the ARB about the same size?

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Failed roof strut bracket

SCUD - totally unrelated comment, but I saw your signature line when I was reading your post and wanted to ask you a question as I also have airbags with airlift wireless air. Do your airbags frequently adjust? I have mine set pretty high (70 psi) and they are frequently adjusting. Seems...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold down step sheared in half: VERY dangerous

Nailed it. I just took a look at the 2017 FWC owner's manual that Stan posted and they have side by side pictures of rear wall steps on fiberglass vs aluminum. The picture of the fiberglass model uses bolts and the standard aluminum uses the hex fasteners.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Inside Shower Tips?

Yes, the Helio will warm up in the sun. Of course, how much depends on the amount of sunlight and ambient air temperature. When I'm using it on day 1, I fill it with hot water from the house and it will stay nice and warm for the day. For mountain biking in the summer, the water has no...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Fold down step sheared in half: VERY dangerous

Just as Wollowa mentioned above, the rear wall steps on my 2016 Eagle doesn't use bolts but uses hex fasteners. When I first saw the picture I just assumed it was an older camper. I guess it doesn't really matter as that is not where the step failed, but interesting to know FWC installs them...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West New FWC with gas strut - not enough

I'm in the same boat. 2016 Eagle with exterior struts. Works great with the solar panel, works fine with an empty cargo box, feels useless with solar + cargo box + snow. Anyone have tips for dealing with the snow? I think the snow would be too much the speaker lifts, and I can't get to the...
