RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC falls off truck

I'll still argue this entire story was fake and planned for marketing/blogging purposes.. None of it adds up if you really think about it. If you're seriously that out of tune with the noises and sounds of your camper being that loose on a dirt road, you probably shouldn't have one anyway.

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Dempster in 2020?

Unsure why so many folks do this in the summer... I did it this September and it was literally as ideal as it gets I'll be doing a similar one again this fall, if the new truck is "done enough" in time. Advantages of September instead of July: -Not a single bug the entire trip -INSANE Aurora...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC - Project M

Yes, but if you compare how much storage is in a flatbed VS a slide in, it’s not a huge difference really. So add the exterior boxes like above and you have the best of both worlds. As for the tire carrier, that was by design. It’s a security measure also. Common scum bag thief most likely...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West FWC - Project M

In my opinion, a slide in FWC on a flated and filling the open gaps with storage boxes is hands down the best most useable configuration!

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West new Tacoma and FWC build advice

Ive owned Tacomas and Tundras and both of these statements are 110% false sir. LOTS of FWC start with a smaller truck, and then go to a bigger one, you almost never see folks going from a bigger one to a smaller one, just an FYI :)

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Moving from #Vanlife to a Camper

I couldn't fathom traveling in a Tacoma with 3 others. I have a Hawk (middle size of the bunch) and with 3 of us (adults) its pretty dang cramped. If your kids are small, id suggest least a hawk, but a grandby would most likely be a much better fit. The smallest truck id even consider for...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West ? for tundra / hawk owners

That and depending on year, if the camper is sticking past the tailgate, i don’t think you’d be able to get the tailgate back on if you had taken it off prior to camper Install My 2014 tailgate has to be moved to about a 45 to slide on and off

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Alaskan10 on a 3/4 ton utility truck?

I can only speak for Dodge here, but the frames on the chassis cabs are night and day different than the trucks. They are completely flat making add on builds out a ton easier, and they're are a lot more options (dual tanks, aux output from fuel pump, etc..)offered with chassis cabs that arent...
