Just completed a 2000mi trip with new E rated Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my f-150. The road noise was minimal for how aggressive they are. Very happy. No experience in snow or rain yet.

Nice! My only worry would be times when the trailer and truck are both pitched up at the ends, such as entering a steep driveway or crossing a washout. Looks like the fwc could smash into the topper?

Why not get another set of steel bolts and isolators that ford uses to attach the bed to the frame? Realistically, I feel like you’d be fine with some antiseize on the bolts and paint on the exposed bed, but you could go a step further and build a 1” subframe that isolates the fwc from the bed...
