My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Hot water tank fuse keeps blowing the fuse

Guys, I've developed a problem recently that the 12 v, bayonet fuse for the hot water tank, keeps blowing when I transit. Very strange. I normally operate the tank on electric and all is well. I've never had problems stationary. Several time, not every time, I move the rig (300-40 miles) the...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub One week in and not happy with heating system

We are fell time stationary while we work on our property. Full hook up. So my understanding of the furnace systems here is that I have 2 AC units and a heat pump in the middle and propane. Turned on the heat to electric hoping to save propane because we went thru a 30# tank in 2.5 days. That's...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Hot water coming out first thing in the morning for a few seconds before going cold

I've noticed that our water has been super hot latley and then this morning when I turned on the kitchen sink the cold water ran hot for a few seconds before running cold. We are starting to get freezing temps and wasn't sure if this had anything to do with it.

Hey Guys! So I am currently in my Hawk in beautiful Bryce Canyon, UT and need a good hot shower. Since I've received my camper last year I have used the shower a handful of times. Every time when I connect the shower and turn the knob to the hottest setting I get no hot water at all. Sometimes...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Hot Water Heater Stopped Working Today

Currently do not have hot water coming out of the hot water heater. My wife and I both were able to take hot showers and do dishes last night so it has been working fine up until today. The electric side of our hot water heater would work 80% of the time and the other 20% we would normally just...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Hot water seemingly different between bathroom and kitchen

Hello, Regarding the hot water from the bathroom sink and shower: It heats up very quickly, and rarely starts to cool down -- which is good! However, regarding the kitchen sink: It take a little while to heat up, and as I wash dishes (by hand) it will begin to cool before I can finish. Is...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub Hot water out of cold faucet

We have a 2020 2500rl. We have the hot water heater on electric and the hot water is coming out of the cold water side of the faucets. All faucets ( bathroom, shower and kitchen). The water hose is not in the shade so it’s not just the hose getting heated by the sun. It happens at night too. It...

My Grand RV - Grand Design RV Forum, RV LIFE Forum Hub New RV, Water Heater not working

HI folks, hoping to get that one pice of wisdom that helps us resolve this issue. This is for a new 2021 Imagine with the new electronic command center and control module. When we first tested the water heater, electric would not work, but the propane did. We left it on electric for more than...

RV LIFE Forum Hub, Wander The West Hot Water Tank Removal

Last fall I drained and blew out the water lines and Hot water tank with air pressure - or so I thought. Had to prime the pump to get it going today. Could hear the hot water tank filling up but at some point water started gushing out of the cupboards. I pulled the cabinets apart as best I...
