I currently have a 2001 8’ Alaskan C.O. on a 2019 Ford F350. I am trying to get my running lights to work as well as power from truck to camper. My issue is, when I plug the 7 prong plug from camper to truck my clearance lights only work when I press the brakes on my truck. Looking at my manual, there’s 4 wires on the camper 7 prong. Positive, negative, running lamps and rear brake light(if equipped). My camper does have the rear center brake light. So, should I eliminate all other wires from my pigtail, since I only need the 4 wires? I am currently running my pigtail wire with all 7 wires connected. I have replaced both males ends of the pigtail and have checked continuity of the wire. Let me know what you all think

I eliminated ( cut and talked over ) the additional 3 wires.. I know there is a drawing of the 4 pin pigtail indicating where each one goes.. I need up running a hot lead to each pin just to make sure which is which.. I am also doing the same exercise with the truck, with a test light..
