I bought a 2004 hawk shell about a month ago and am slowly builder her up. She needs a little love but I intend to bring her back to new with the help of ATC. Since i got her i built a fold out bed, added an a battery, fantastic fan, new door, added a propex 2800, and custom boot dryer. I didn't do a great job of taking pictures but here is what i got so far.

Hello Jason a
Congrats on the Hawk. Looks good on your truck. Can you tell me what the first photo of the black pipe's is.
Happy Hawk Thanksgiving!

Russ

Boot dryer, put a tee on the heater ducting to a shop vac fitting to open and close the flow. Used a 3in to 2in reducer and connected to 2in pvc pipe spray painted black. Now I have dry boots!!

Is that the only heat outlet from your Propex? Are you using the HS2000? That's what I'd like to use, and I was thinking of having a second heat outlet feeding into the area around the water tank to keep it from freezing in cold weather.

It looks like your Propex is mounted sideways? The two smaller insulated lines are the exhaust and combustion air intake, right? Where do those exit the camper?

Hey Vic, I have two outlets the one on the left of the boot dryer is an outlet as well. I split it with a standard 3in hvac tee. I used the thru hull fitting available from propex for the exhaust and combustion inlet, mounted passenger side in front of the window. The heater is the propex hs2800. I went big, I send 6weeks in Alaska every year. The only thing I will warn is the the exhaust and combustion inlets must stay the full length supplied making the install a little tricky. The heater is great and seems pretty efficient. Sorry the second pic isn't great, I took it before I put it back together.

I had heard there was something funky about the in/outlet pipe lengths. I also read that it isn't as critical as they make it out to be. That exhaust outlet is very discreet. nice.
