AcuRite 00986A2 Digital Refrigerator/Freezer Thermometer

The wireless "AcuRite 00986A2 Digital Refrigerator/Freezer Thermometer" allows me to know temperatures without opening the fridge door. It transmits far enough that the monitor panel can be carried in the truck cab, and has an audible alarm that can be set. Usually around $30, and the batteries last a long time. We have used one in our home refrigerator as well.

I have one of these as well. Range seems to be about 75' through my living room wall.

Had one like that in my old Hawk with the 3 way fridge. Saved me a few times when flame went out driving.

Used one through the year last season and was pretty happy with the performance.

Needs new batteries now but made it through April-September last year.

I use the caveman method.

If my Coke Zero is cold and my vegetables aren't frozen, I'm good.

They work great, but if you use lithium battery's for the sensors inside the last much longer. Also, mine feel off the fridge and the magnets popped off and required super glue to get the magnets put back on. Same thing happened to my brothers set. But over all very nice to have.

I use Loctite Fun Tak mounting putty so that the monitor can be secure on the truck console while travelling and on the fridge when parked.
