I have a grandby shell and the battery box sits in the back with a little counter above it. I would like to add a cooktop there, but concerned about heat in the battery box.

Anyone have thoughts on this? bad idea? not a problem?

Thx

If you do install a stove, probably best to keep some sort of divider between the battery box and stove.

Batteries that off-gas don't want to be around sparks or a flame.

Unfortunately no kits available.

Each camper is a bit different, and models / cabinets vary over the years.

It would need to be a DIY project.

Do stock AGM batteries off gas?

They shouldn't because they are sealed. I have one in my Eagle shell and it does not leak. and has never sparked in 8 years. to be more confident. Contact customer service for the company that supplied your AGM and ask them .
