Adding a Deadbolt?

My 1999 FWC Eagle did not come with a deadbolt. I am planning a trip to drive to south america and am thinking a deadbolt would be a good thing to have. Any ideas on how I can install one or can any locksmith achieve this? Would it be possible to order a new door?

I replaced one in my old camper - was pretty much just like doing it in a traditional house door so I don't think it would be too hard to install yourself.

I would recommend that you contact FWC. Ask for a model number and manufacturer. There are several things to consider, when installing one where there is none. They might have not followed the instructions exactly to accommodate for an unknown. Not saying can't be done because, well I've seen them on FWC doors before. Probably pretty easy to do proper whole saw for the lock and one for the strike to enter the jam. Just suggesting you cover your bases. Commercial and residential have different setback and door thickness.
