Some friends invited us to their cabin warming party a couple of weeks ago up in Tom's Place near Mammoth. I figured we'd head out a day early for an overnighter in the Alabama Hills on the way up (anything for an extra night in the camper ).
We made it to Lone Pine around 9ish on Friday night, had a real good time trying to find a secluded spot in pitch darkness, I don't know how many camp sites I lit up with my KC's before I found one for ourselves. By 10:00 the fire was lit and I was enjoying a nice Glenlivet, everything was perfect.
We woke up to a nice, clear day and some pretty spectacular views of Mt Whitney. Some shots of camp and surroundings the next day...
