I have the intention of bolting my 10'NCO on my flatdeck but I was just reading another thread regarding fiberglass Alaskans '''Other interesting information was that the top half does not need to rest on the truck bed when in the down position'''.
Since my Alaskan is NOT fiberglass does this mean that I will need a bulkhead of sorts to rest the top on when in the down position???
Thanks

no...the top half does not need to rest on a bulkhead.....

bolted down to a deck, the top will rest on the brackets inside the camper at the top of the hydraulic cylinders.

When used as a slide in camper, which is removed when done....it is wise to shore up the truck bed walls to or very near, the bottom of the top half to minimize any "leaning" while traveling...it removes stress on the frame....even in that condition the top half does not need to rest on the bed wall.
