Hi all, just checking in, we ended our first trip in Astoria Ore. on July 3, got unloaded that day which I still don't believe, we had 51000# of whole frozen Albacore and 3000# of frozen Albacore loins, not great but not bad either. So we spent the holiday in Astoria with our families and had a great day, we knew we better not go home, too hard to get back on the boat, so we bought more steaks at Costco and came back out. To come out here and do this you need to know what you're doing, that takes time, in my case a lot of time, but I believe fishing involves a lot of luck, and this trip we have been very lucky, we haven't been out of the fish much since we've been here, last thurs. we had to stop fishing, too much fish too fast, that hasn't happened on this boat for five years, you hate it, but at the same time you know you're kickin some a$%, we put down 642 fish that day very GOOD-GOOOD- GOOOOD we are between Cresent City and Eureka, bit still about 460 mi offshore. TT I know you called I'll give you a call on the way in when we get into cell range. we are very tired and are ready to come in, but we are getting very close to plugging this boat, something we all want to do. Every trip out here is an experience you don't forget, this one is no different, I wish I could share it with you, but most if not all is un postable. The two guys with me have worked 16hr days since we left in June smiling and joking the whole way, they are tough, they are fisherman until later HAUL ON THAT BOW LINE, THEY SANG THAT MELODY, LIKE AL GOOD SAILORS DO WHEN THEY'RE FAR AWAY AT SEA

Good deal Salty..Jug it!!!

Seems like a good cycle this year all the way around. We are seeing a very good #'s on all stocks that we harvest.
If we could get some of these gill netters from down south to go home we would feel a little better about next year..

Get em!

Steaks! Glad to see you take better care of your crew than Gulf shrimp boats that head out with nothing but salt and pepper. My wife was interested in reading about the tuna. She is a better seaman than I am because I get seasick the first three days out if it is rough.
