Any thoughts on flexible solar like uni-solar?

I've always put some kind of solar panels on my campers but was thinking of trying some of the flexible panels like uni solar. It seems they take up some more space for equal wattage but will fit curved roofs (like my Alaskan), have way less wind resistance, tougher, and possibly out perform at un-optimal angles. Was just wondering if anyone has any experience with them. The company is evidently going out of business and these panels (rolls) are going for fairly cheap. Thanks in advance-

No experience but I am eager to hear about yours. I gather they don't last as long as glass covered. When the price is right I am sure they are worth a look.

I haven't delved into it to know the validity and the applicably, but I recently read somewhere that solar panels work best with a cooler backside. The cooler the better. If this is true, and if it applies then a surface mounting scheme seems like a compromise.

If I'm not mistaken Jonathon Hansen from Overland Expo has flexible solar on his JATAC.
