Anyone put a hot water heater in an old Granby?

I am renewing an 86' Granby and just ordered a Suburban SW6D to install. I "think" I am going to try to put it where the heater used to be (back wall exit on the drivers side) but I am interested to hear if anyone else has looked into this. I am hoping to use that space because otherwise I will have to put it up near the sink and that will take up precious space. Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this? Thanks in advance!!!
