App upgrade how to mark as read?

In the old app there was a check mark you could hold to mark all as read. Now I can only open the new posts and then next time the same posts show up as unread again. I have to go to the web version to "mark community as read" which I am unwilling to do continually. If there is no way to do this, I will be bailing on the app and using the web version. Just asking.

FYI deleted the app today. What a piece of junk. I know it doesn't belong to this website per se.

The Tapatalk version doesn't remember what I have read and continually shows the last 20 messages as unread.
