This device helps assist with the lifting of a truck campers pop up roof. We used this on our Four Wheel Camper Grandby where we had a FWC roof rack and two solar panels mounted. While it doesn't lift the roof up completely unassisted, it does provide 50lbs of lifting force to make it much easier. We no longer own our FWC.
These units currently sell for about 135.00 and up. (such as Guitar Center) It is designed to lift a musicians speaker or a PA speaker from 48" to 74" high. The tripod legs have been removed from this as they are not used to lift the roof and will not be included. We placed the base of the unit on the floor with a pad underneath to prevent any marks in the floor and then placed the top "foot" against the wood panel where you lift up to raise the top. By slowly backing off the knob on the unit, it then raises the roof but it does still require some effort by the user to lift the roof. We found it made it much easier as I have had shoulder surgery and try and be careful with lifting. We used it about 10 times as it was purchased not long before we sold our camper. Stores easily up on top bed or behind roll over couch
The unit is 48" long in the closed position and 74" extended. It weighs about 8 lbs (estimated)
Due to the size of the box needed to ship (53" x 11" x 5") the cost to ship is in the neighborhood of 45.00 to 55.00 via UPS.
Also depends on your zip code. We would ship this from Central California. Lower 48 States only please. It will come in the original box and boxed carefully.
