Do you ever check out the Bing (the Microsoft search tool) home page? The page background is a new photo everyday, frequently a great landscape photo, sometimes a great photo in some other category.
The photo always has 4 "hotspots" -- points on it that show up when you move your cursor over and link to more info about the subject of the photo. (moving your cursor over the little "i" in the lower right of the image shows exactly what/where it is and who took the photo)
Anyway, today's Bing photo is of a spot that some of the folks here know well:
On the actual Bing page (i.e., not my screen-grab image above) the hotspots have some interesting detail...including mention of the miles of washboard road required to get there.
(the Bing homepage image changes at midnight, but you can use the arrows in the bottom-right to page back to the previous 7 days pages)
I have to admit that I have never been there
...maybe next cool season.
