Fyi for anyone venturing in the Blue Lakes Area - south of Hope Valley, south of Tahoe - if you see a mustang loose with a saddle still aboard (maybe) call the location into the Alpine County Sheriffs Office. They are aware of the incident. Horse threw it's owner on Sunday 2 August. The owner is still hospitalized with broken ribs and punctured lung.
People involved are not friends of mine. I was just made aware of the incident.

I heard horse people were out with flyers and canvasing the dispersed campsites in the area.
