camping in the Oceanside Ca. area

[Casa Escarlata Robles Too]

May have the need to visit SoCal and don't want to motel it.What is on the coast around Oceanside? I have checked out San Mateo to the north and Carlsbad to the south any info.

My suggestions may be too far north for you, but here they are...

A ways north of Oceanside is Doheny State Beach at Dana Point, sandwiched between the freeway and the beach. A bit noisy, but right on the beach. It's just down the coast from the harbor at San Juan Creek.

In Orange County north of Laguna Beach is Moro Canyon Campground, part of Crystal Cove State Park, this fairly new facility has fabulous views from the top of the bluff. It's tricky to find; turn inland at Moro Elementary School

You could also try the state park site for other places.
