My 3 way Dometic only lights on the coldest setting (5). Once lit if I move to a less cold setting (1,2,3,4) the pilot goes out and will not relight unless frog is set to 5. Any advice greatly appreciated. Works fine on 110v.

Educated guess, bad sensor or thermostat. I would do a google search, yours's might not be the first with this problem

Thanks. I have been advised it might be the thermocouple if the flame
Only stands at the coldest setting. Troubleshooting begins.

Cleaning the burner tube would be my first suggestion.

The small slits on the end of the burner tube (where the flame comes out) get covered in soot and rust.

If they are blocked, even a little, the flame size will be reduced.

Thanks Stan. After running it on 5 for a few days it now lights and runs on lower numbers. Hopefully it was an issue because it hadn’t been lit for awhile. I’ll keep an eye on it.
