In the last few days, something has happened in sunny SoCal that is just not mentioned in polite society. It's the "R" word, and the stuff has been coming down rather heavily.
If the FWC is tilted back at all, the rain water on the roof flows back and comes down right in front of the door. It's like running a gauntlet to get in and out of the FWC.
The reverse problem occurs with a forward tilt. Because the bedding is under the front, there is a very slight side to side curve at the front of the FWC, so the water follows the drip edge to the front corners, right over the Tacoma's doors. The gauntlet to run in this case is getting in and out of the truck.
Has anyone tried attaching some kind of gutter to the drip edge above the door? A rollup awning for the back would be another solution; any suggestions on where to locate such short ones and what kind of quality they might be? Any other solutions for the rear? Any idea on how to handle the front problem?
