Family trip to Yosemite Valley coming up and thinking of bringing my gear. I'm guessing that with all the pressure the fishing may not be that great, but what the heck???

Thinking Teneya Creek north of Mirror Lake, but wondered if anyone else has suggestions?

Thx in advance - Vic

Think of high water depending upon how soon your trip is.
Personally, I've only fished the upper part of the park at Tuolumne Meadows.
Summer fly fishing is great just about anywhere in the high country or on the East Side.
I wonder about the lower Merced below towards El Portal, but have no direct knowledge..

I've never fly fished in the Valley, I'm more of a wilderness alpine fly caster. Your post intrigued me and got me looking at my fly rod. I found this with a google search -

Fishing Yosemite National Park

We just returned from a weekend in the high country. I expect that the snowpack here was below average this year. The creeks are a bit high with no color. Windward slopes with a sunny aspect are all bare of snow. The newly opened road over Tioga Pass was repeatedly closed due to storm, snow and ice.
