Yes Frank. Both Gary and his wife had long careers with the National Park Service. One of our long time friends - worked as the winter ranger at Tuolumne Meadows and she then moved to Wrangell-Saint Elias before moving over to the Forest Service - let us know of former Director Everhardt's death. I first remember hearing about him during the bicentennial celebration in 1976. That both he and his wife passed away within days of each other from Covid is so tragic.
