The time has come to sell my truck. I am sad to see it go, but I am sure it will bring the new owner a ton of good times.

1999 Nissan Frontier V6 4WD (4X4) 5 Speed Manual Transmission
Engine- 3.3L VG33E
VIN# 1N6ED26YXXC314666

As it sits today, the truck has 172,792 miles. The truck runs and drives as it should and has a ton of new parts. All fluids were drained and refilled. This includes the transmission, transfer case, and the front/rear differential.

Snugtop Canopy purchased at SuperHawk in Marysville and installed at the end of October 2020. This canopy was color matched to the paint code of the truck and has almost every option you can add. Has carpeted interior, upgraded 24-inch LED light, USB ports, pet screens, fold down sliding middle window, and Yakima tracks.

Almost every single suspension part was replaced in the summer of 2020. This includes but is not limited to bushings, end links, tie rods, control arms, CV axels (driver and passenger side), Bilstein shocks all around, and leaf springs. The leaf springs are heavy duty springs that come with an additional leaf over the stock Nissan ones. I had intended to put a 4 Wheel Camper in my truck but ended up foregoing that idea. That being said, this truck can handle some weight or is close to being ready for a FWC to be added. Upon completion of suspension work, the truck had an alignment. The truck had another alignment in the Summer of 2021.

During the suspension replacement, I had new Timken wheel bearings and races installed. Along with new brake pads, calipers, and rotors. This is essentially a brand-new hub assembly that should last for a very long time.

The tires are Path Finder All Terrains (made by Hankook). They are slightly oversized 31x10.50R15LT. These drive like a dream. No loud humming and handle great on pretty much any terrain. The tires were installed by Discount at right around 160K. I have had the tires rotated every 5,000 miles. The next rotation is due at 175,000. I have planned my truck maintenance around this, and the oil is changed when the tires are rotated. Nissan recommends oil changes every 7,500 miles, but I do it every 5,000.

Under the hood has a ton of stuff that has been done as well. Battery replaced in 2020. All 6 spark plugs were replaced at 160k. This is not a cheap or easy thing to have done. New crank position sensor, new knock sensor (definitely not cheap and definitely not easy), new upper intake manifold gasket, a bunch of new hoses, PCV valve, new power steering pressure hose, etc.

New AC thermo switch, new windshield washer pump, new Nissan Genuine grille, and new fuel filter. Truck has a newer Nissan Genuine Distributor, cap, and rotor that were installed around 160K.

Truck has manual windows, which is fantastic in my opinion. One less thing to break or need to replace.

Extras include: Pioneer Bluetooth deck (with microphone installed), 2-inch trailer hitch, steering wheel lock, Viper alarm system with keyless entry, brand-new heavy-duty snow chains, WeatherTech floor mats, oil filters and a few other small things, ProEFX steps, rubber mat for truck bed. I have a thumb drive that has the entire Mitchell manual on it. In my opinion, this is far superior to the Chilton’s manual. This has every single detail and torque spec for everything related to this truck. The truck is also equipped with a towing package and vacuum brake assistance. This was well over $1,000 and means the truck is already set up to be towed behind a motorhome. Truck is also wired to tow a utility trailer.

Being a 99, the truck has a few small cosmetic things. Clear coat on hood is peeling, rear bumper has a small dent, a few small door dings, and a small tear on the driver’s seat. For a 23-year-old truck, I think it looks pretty damn good. My pride of ownership certainly shows.

I do have a CARFAX that I am happy to provide. The truck has a clean title and is paid off. There are a few small quirks, but nothing major or of any significance. I would not hesitate to hop in my truck and drive across the country. When these trucks are taken care of, I have seen them run to 350,000+ miles. Take care of it and it will take care of you. I am not in a huge rush to sell, so please don’t waste my time with offers that are far below my asking price. I know what I have and what the market is like.
