Fun with Velcro

[Laguna-to-Crestone]

The strip of velcro that runs the length of each side of the top of the ATC Ocelot (and others) opens up a world of possibilities. Here are the three things added so far (sorry about sideways pics):

Paper towel holder (seen in earlier WTW post)


Hooks mounted to a strip of wood


Pouches for phone, iPad, wallet, keys, flashlight and the like thanks to a wife handy with a sewing machine.


Next up is a dowel to hang dish and hand towel.

Cool. I've had it in my mind to make a shoe rack of some sort to keep all my hiking boots, sandals, tennies, slippers, etc., better corralled instead of scattered all over the place. You're on the right track with this approach to storing odds-and-ends, and I'm gonna feed off your ideas. Thanks for posting.

I use a bunch of these to connect things and keep them from moving in transit: velcro, grommet and shoelace.

My favorite Velcro product is OneWrap.
Hooks on one side, fuzzy of the other side.
I can't keep track of how many uses I've found for it.
