My sister-in-law sent me a FWC price list from back in 1977. At the time, my parents had a FWC on a Chevy Blazer and brother and sister-in-law were thinking of getting one for their pickup. They decided to pass because the prices were too high. Too bad my 2010 Grandby didn't cost $1995!

Interestingly, it seems the refrigerators were comparatively much more expensive than they are now.

Boy one or two days to install depending on truck type.
It would be interesting to see one of these campers.
Listed to fit on vehicles like a Chevy Blazer,Dodge Ramcharger,Scout. They are SUV types, right? Not pickups.
Thanks for posting.

In those days the fiberglass tops came off many SUVs so the camper was built above the truck body. Note there isn't a model to fit a Suburban, which had an attached steel roof. Now and then one shows up for sale here.

A dollar in 1977 had the buying power of $3.95 today.

Hawk then $1945.00 = $7682.75

Water pump then $49.00 = $193.55 today

3 way refrigerator then $310 = $1224.50 today
Thanks for the research and doing the math. It turns out that the refers are about the same now but the campers were comparatively way cheaper then, by a factor of almost 2!
