FWC Rain Water Collection

Any thoughts as to collecting rain water directly from the sky into their FWC's 25 gallon h20 tank?

Surely if we can think of it, it can be done.

Awning to collecting funnel to filter to tank... But I think I’d strain it, run it to an intermediate tank, then through the filter and into the tank. This is pretty common in the blue water sailing community.

Should work if you keep your canopy sanitized and let it rain a bit before collecting to allow for the dust/dirt to rinse off first. Personally I wouldn't do it and store it in my main water tank and use it as potable water, to big a chance to get some undesirable intestinal aliment.
